About Us

The Green Society (TGS) is a student-led and government-registered non-profit organization dedicated to spreading environmental awareness and incentivizing environmental action through our free workshops (The Climate Classroom) and annual environmental writing contests.

We are partnering with over 5 global organizations, and currently have members from across Canada, America, England, China, Australia and New Zealand!

**All members will receive community service hours based on their respective positions**

We are currently looking for motivated students interested in the following positions:

Executive Positions

- Vice President (responsible for assisting the President in overall leadership and management of the organization)
- Executive Director (responsible for planning, coordinating and executing all events within the organization)
- Communications Executive (responsible for all communications with our partner and sponsor organizations)
- Chief Student Judge (responsible for leading the discussions & debates amongst the student judges in order to come to a final decision)

Marketing Team Positions

- Social Media Managers (responsible for aiding the Directors of Marketing in managing our social media platforms)
- Graphic Designers (responsible for aiding the Directors of Marketing in the planning and design of advertisement posters and flyers)

Education Team Positions

- Workshop Curriculum Developers (responsible for aiding the Directors of Education in the planning and development of all environmental workshop curriculums)
- Workshop Mentors (responsible for presenting and teaching the environmental workshop curriculums created by the Workshop Curriculum Developers)

Outreach Team Positions

- Outreach Team Members (responsible for aiding the Director of Outreach in environmental writing contest planning, judge recruitment and will work closely with the Marketing Team to recruit potential contestants)

Finance Team Positions

- Finance Team Members (responsible for aiding the Director of Finance in all fundraising events and campaigns, as well as the proper management and allocation of all acquired funds)

Other Positions

- Chapter Leaders (responsible for teaching the environmental workshops and hosting the annual environmental writing contest within their school/local community)
- Student Judges (responsible for judging the annual environmental & climate fiction writing contests alongside the adult judges)
